Join us to learn more about the heritage of our local area with our series of afternoon talks, followed by a scrumptious cream tea.

Talks start at 2.30pm, cost is £10 per person.

27th Sept. Butterflies Colours and Hidden Images with Professor Philip Howse. Discover the truth behind the beauty of butterfly wings.

4th Oct.  Coastal Wildlife with Donald Campbell local naturalist. Enjoy a virtual ramble through the undercliffs.

11th Oct. Jurassic Coast and its Geology revealed by Chris Woodward.

18th Oct. Protecting Wild Devon with Paul Thrush. Discover the work carried out to protect and conserve Devon’s wildlife and wild places.

1st Nov. Fascinating snakes and reptiles. Sue Searle, Principal Ecologist at Acorn Ecology in Exeter will be giving a talk about snakes including our native snake species and a newly identified species for the UK, she will also be bringing along a non-native snake and offering a handling session to those interested.

15th Nov. 300 Million Years of Earth’s History with Antony Cline.

22nd Nov. Seaton in World War 2 with Tony Bruges

29th Nov. Earthquakes with John Ayres. Discover why the Jurassic Coast has received the International status of World Heritage Site.
