On Sunday 9th of February 2019, Seaton Jurassic will be offering FREE ENTRY to teachers, educators and their families. Find out how we tailor education visits to different age groups and link to the national curriculum. We are also offering a unique CPD training session for those who wish to lead games and activities, delivered by the Devon Greater Horseshoe Bat Project. This will be followed by an opportunity to visit Beer Quarry Caves, an internationally important area for bat hibernation.
What will happen on the day?
Explore our interactive exhibition and find out about our educational visits package, where students explore the wonders of the Jurassic Coast through activities, games and investigation. The exhibition will be open from 10am to 3pm.
There will be a short introduction by our Learning and Participation (L&P) Officer and education volunteers. You will then be free to explore our exhibition and unlock the secrets of the Jurassic Coast! The L&P Officer and education volunteers will be around during the day to answer any questions.
From 2pm-3pm, the Devon Greater Horseshoe Bat Project team will be leading a training session for any educators who wish to deliver Bat-themed games, activities for young people. Please note that this session will not be suitable for children.
